Charles Bridge was built by Charles IV. in 1357.

It is in Gothic style, 516 m long, 9.5 m wide and supported by 16 massive piers. Both ends are fortified by towers. charles Bridge was the only bridge in Prague up to 19th century.

And there are two towers at the end:

1:Old Town Tower
Gothic gate to the Charles Bridge from the Old Town side from 1380.
Situation: 15 min walk from centre (Old Town Hall)
Name: Old Town Bridge Tower (Staromestska mostecka vez)
Address: Old Town's (Stare Mesto) side of Charles Bridge

2:
Lesser Town Towers
The smaller tower is from 12th century, the higher tower is from 1464.
Situation: 20 min walk from centre (Old Town Hall)
Name: Lesser Town Bridge Towers (Malostranske mostecke veze)
Address: Lesser Town's (Mala Strana) side of Charles Bridge
