Prague is the Capital of the Czech Republic and is considered one of the most beautiful cities of the world. This may explain why so many people head for Prague to visit and explore its nooks and crannies.

Not surprisingly, the oppression of the Jews in the 20^th century severely decimated their population in the city to only around 1,600 as of 2006. The Czech Republic itself was only established in 1993 after Communist dominance of government was eliminated. At present, Prague is considered capital of both the Prague region and the Central Bohemian Region but lies outside the latter.
