There are many things to do in Prague and there are even more things to see. You can go see the ancient and ornate castle that sits atop the hill and overlooks the city. You can walk down one of the world's most famous bridges. You can walk down alleys where you have to walk sideways if you pass anybody. You can go for a drive alongside the river through some extremely gorgeous scenery. You can spend a day in Old Town and see ancient architecture and one of the world's first atomic clocks.

Shopping in Prague is easy, there are shops everywhere. Just go down one of the side streets and you will find little shops everywhere you look. There are a couple of areas that are just for souvenirs, often with 50 plus vendors under little tents. Although Prague isn't one of the worlds fashion leaders there are many places to go clothes shopping, offering a style that you won't find very many other places. Prague is more a city of craftsmen with many handmade craft shops, from blown glass, to metal workers, to hand carved wooden miniatures.

Hire and parking cars in Prague is not really all that difficult and if you keep your eyes open you might find a place where you will get to pay. Most of the parking, even downtown and near Old Town is still free. If you end up at a place where they charge for parking just drive a little bit farther and you will find open, free parking spaces. However driving through Prague can be a little challenging. Their roads are marked extremely well and but their maps are often optimistic. The map may show roads that haven't been built or finished yet.

There are many unique choices for finding a Prague restaurant. They have many nice "hole in the wall" restaurants, often quite literally, the entrance is a hole in the wall. Some of them are in basements with a little staircase leading down and an atmosphere of possibly walking into somebody's apartment. Don't let this fool you though, the food is absolutely fabulous. It has a little bit of the Germanic style mixed with East Indian and a dash of Mediterranean. The food often has the choice of mild, spicy or hot. They even have sensational vegetarian and vegan choices.
